My name is Theyen Kile, I have been playing and running games for somewhere around 20 years. I run a YouTube channel devoted to all things RPG, D&Disability, and disability oriented. I am a disability scholar, professor, and have worked with all levels of RPG enthusiast over my tenure.
I have run Dungeons & Dragons: Basic, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th editions; Basic Fantasy RPG; Mork Borg; Call of Cthulhu; The One Ring RPG; and am becoming familiar with Mouse Guard. I can handle everything from solo play (one DM, one player) to 12 players with a caller (a DM assistant). My home group sits comfortably at eight players—most of whom have disabilities.
Times & Availability: Saturdays 5-9 p.m. edt.; Sundays 3-7 p.m. edt.; and Thursdays (all day). Appointments should be made one week prior to the game if not sooner. All games will be hosted by PML on their Discord server. My games are for those of 16 and up, but accommodations for younger players can be made.
Games being run:
Mork Borg: a doom metal, world ending RPG where you adventure the grey wastes and spend your last days in heroic triumph—or crushing despair, your choice.
Basic Fantasy RPG: A simpler version of Basic D&D. You get all of the nostalgia, none of the expensive books (they’re all free), and no THACO to worry about.
AD&D 1e.: If you prefer classics, AD&D 1e. is your jam.
Call of Cthulhu: A horror game centered in the 1920s, explore H.P. Lovecraft’s world of monsters as you uncover plots, solve mysteries, and try not to loose your sanity.
The One Ring: Explore middle earth as hobbits in this starting adventure set. Once you try it here, who knows, maybe you’ll want to see even more Middle Earth has to offer.
The One Ring:
Mad Baggins is at it again, and has gathered in Bag End a new cabal of adventurous spirits. This first of many adventures will have you helping good old Bilbo retrieve a map of the Shire that is kept locked away in the Mathom-house, at Michel Delving, which he believes was sketched by none other than the Old Took himself!
Mörk Borg
In the ruined age of Black Fort, you face execution for heretical theft but a masked Seer. The Courtier of the Shadow King has offered you a chance at life. The King’s one true heir, his son Aldon, is missing. Get him back discreetly and wealth, life and freedom will be yours.
Call of Cthulhu
While investigating in Harlem, you find yourselves meeting with a Cambridge professor one rainy night in Small’s Paradise, 135th street. Take a trip into the Jazz Age and investigate supernatural horrors. Your present case must wait; you must find out why someone is playing the Dead Man Stomp.
AD&D 1e & Basic Fantasy
You find yourselves in need of a local alchemist, Kalkstein. Just when he would be useful, the poor fool disappeared into his research lab and hasn’t been seen in more than a week. A local girl is sick with filth fever, and you are sure the mage has a cure. Explore his lab, find Kalkstein, and save the girl.
Price and Hours:
10$ and hour per player (typically games will last 3-4 hours).
If they go over the allotted time, you will not be charged.
Hours should be purchased in advance: minimum of 4, unlimited maximum.
You will have 6 months to use your hours.
No post-game refunds.
Last minute cancellation will still cost you one hour. The rest can be saved for a future game.
Style: I combine the action of Robert E. Howard’s Conan, with a focus on enablement over strict rules fidelity—the rules are made to be bent. I harness 10 years of academic study of Fantasy and 10th century Europe to run scenarios that feel grounded while remaining fantastic. Player agency is at the core of my narratives, and I offer a “yes and” approach to DMing. My style is, in short, a strange milieu. A pandemonic orgy of Lovecraft, Poe, Shelly, Howard, Salvatore, Rothfuss, and more. A Fenris wolf bound in a silken cord of verisimilitude. You’ll have fun.
